Bridge Module #1
Forming a Leadership Community
It is hard to lead when nobody speaks the same language! This week you will be revisiting our opening retreat as you further explore the language and structure of a holistic leader. Reviewing and engaging with the four dimensions of reality will lay the groundwork for personal growth and development. These fundamentals put you on the path toward transformational leadership, and transformational leadership is the key component to building a transformative community.
Learn & Grow
This video is longer than the others to follow but please take a moment to watch, listen, and revisit one of the first sessions we did at our opening retreat.
Five Principles of the Human Operating System™
Transformed Leader uses the Human Operating System™ to fuel action research for coaches, consultants, and companies across the globe. The HOS is collection of foundational building blocks that provide shared language, frameworks, principles, and applications that will help leaders, teams, and organization navigate deep change and transformation. These five principles can be installed to guide and retool almost any part of your life and leadership. .
2. Discuss
Q: Which of the five HOS principles is most needed in your leadership right now and why?
Expand briefly on how this principle can practically inform and resource a leadership challenge you may have. Save your response(s) and discuss these with your triad and team.
3. Integrate & Explore
We will be unpacking your leadership challenges over the upcoming weeks. Find a journal or word document to fill out the answers to each week’s questions.
Q: What is the greatest leadership challenge that you are currently facing at this time?
Your challenge can be personal or professional but try be specific and make sure to select one that has some energy around it. A leadership challenge is NOT something casual like, “I want to be a more patient person.” The challenge behind someone who says that is likely closer to a scenario like, “I have been called out for being impatient and impulsive in my leadership and I need some awareness and tools to face this challenge or risk missing a promotion.”
4. Apply & Practice
If you're like most leaders, the question usually starts with, "What do you want me to do." We believe the best action and application follows a process of learning, experiencing, integrating, and finally applying. You can get to outcomes far quicker by ignoring these steps, but deeper change and transformation rarely happen without first going below the line. Solving problems will be easy enough, but managing systemic change requires more intention. We will offer you something to do with each module to apply these leadership principles.
